I am an experienced writer and editor working with literary, journalistic, and non-profit organizations and on a freelance basis. I graduated with a professional writing degree from Taylor University's communications department.
I grew up loving fiction (I think my high school friends and I all wanted to be the next Tolkien at some point). It wasn't until college, though, that I discovered the true breadth of what can be accomplished through writing. I honed the storytelling skills that I loved, but I also trained in journalism and AP style, feature writing, business writing, academic writing and research, poetry, non-fiction, content and copy editing using the Chicago Manual of Style, and layout and design.
Currently, I work as a feature writer for The Borgen Project, a non-profit that raises awareness for global poverty issues and advocates for effective policy change in the United States. I've also been a staff editor at Parnassus literary magazine, an editorial assistant at Taylor University, and a teacher at Classical Consortium Academy.
Please feel free to contact me, I always love the chance to connect.
